Recently, the 1000th Volvo bus of Bashi Group was handed over in Shanghai Sunwin Bus Corporation successfully. Bashi Group implement the idea of ¡°Three Representatives in Transport¡± actively to show the visage of Shanghai, the international metropolis, and the good social image of public transport operators and enhance the grade of Shanghai bus as well as provide more comfortable service for passengers.

In recent years, with the support of Shanghai municipal government, Bashi Group invest more to purchase Volvo bus with higher grade and more humanness, manufactured by Sunwin Bus Corporation, to perfect the visage of municipal traffic and the out environment in Shanghai and accelerate the economic development. During APEC in 2001, the operation of 200 Volvo city buses became a brilliant lowing sight in Shanghai. In August 2002, Bashi Group made an order of 1000 luxury Volvo city buses from Sunwin. They forecast to put these busses into operation in its affiliated lines before the end of 2005. At present, this development plan of Green Bus completed in advance successfully.

By three-year efforts, Bashi Group occupy 12% of the whole Volvo Buses delivered by Sunwin, and the operation lines for Volvo bus also increased to 45 lines covering all districts and many residence. The passenger flow reaches 800,000 everyday.
