Thailand
has a huge and potential market of CNG bus. Several days before, some CNG buses
were presented by Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., LTD to the Thailand's Ministry of
Communications. 2000 CNG buses will be exported to Thailand in future, Shanghai
Shenlong Bus Co., LTD announced. Following the step of Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co.,
LTD, Yantai Shuchi Bus Co., LTD also announced that it had signed the contract
with Thailand to export 300 CNG buses and made a agreement to set up the plant
for CNG buses. This is only the first phase of China CNG buses in Thailand. As
we know, CNG has two special points. One is that the cost of usage is much lower
than gasoline; the other is that CNG is the environment-protected fuel. Based
on these two essential points, the Thailand's government demands that the bus
must hold CNG engine and air-conditioner. In
the ceremony of Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., LTD presenting the CNG buses to Thailand's
Ministry of Communications and Bangkok Bus Organization, the premier of Thailand
Thaksin highly promoted the CNG buses. The change will not only benefit for Thailand's
people, but also the county, said Thaksin. China's
buses have an excellent performance, and the selling price is 30%--40% lower than
any bus-made regions', such as Europe, Japan, etc. The price of each bus is only
700--800 thousand yuan (RMB). Also, China bus manufacturers do well on after service
and have low price of spare parts. Shanghai Shenlong Bus Co., LTD have sold more
than 100 CNG buses to Thailand's travel services and transport companies in the
passed year and built the repairing plant in the local cities.
