China On-board TV Market Needs to Improve

Recently, the on-board digital mobile TV grows on the tails of China's expanding automobile consumption market. China's on-board mobile TV market mainly focuses on mass transit vehicles and tourist buses. But, many problems exist in the on-board LCD TV industry, such as lack of uniform management standards, low customer recognition of domestic brands and simplistic business operation models.

Li Shuchong, general manager of Semiconductor Industry Research Center of CCID (China Center for Information Industry Development) Consulting Co Ltd, said” Currently, China's on-board mobile TV market is small. It has great prospect in future. It lacks uniform industry management standards and Chinese enterprises should be cautious in expansion.”

Experts predict that the relevant government departments will formulate corresponding standards to standardize the market order following the market development in the year of 2008.
