China imported 14.24 million tons of crude oil in April, down from 14.82 million a year earlier, the General Administration of Customs said.
Crude oil imports in the four months to April totaled 59.77 million tons, up 9.8 percent year-on-year.
China exported 800,000 tons of crude oil during the four months to April, down 25.2 percent year-on-year, while April exports stood at 230,000 tons.
China imported 3.6 million tons of oil products in April, down from 3.64 million a year earlier, the customs administration said.
January-April oil products imports rose 9.2 percent year-on-year to 12.68 million tons, it said.
China exported 4.84 million tons of oil products in the first four months, down 7.8 percent year-on-year, and April exports stood at 1.23 million tons, it said.
