Motorcade is Setting out
When disaster struck, help came from all sides. All these days Zonda Group is always thinking of the people in the disaster area, and on May 16, the staff of Zonda contributed RMB 102547 to them. Today Zonda Group further contributed a blood-collection bus respectively to the serious disaster areas of Du Jiangyan city, Beichuan county and Wenchuan county. The total value of these 3 buses sums up to RMB1.5 million. At 9:00am, the donation ceremony was held by Yancheng Red Cross right in its working area.
The people attended the donation ceremony included Lu Basheng, the vice-chairman of the CPPCC Yancheng Committee and chairman of Business Association of Yancheng, Gu Rongxian, the vice director of People’s Congress Yancheng Committee and chairman of Yancheng Red Cross, Gu Ruhua, the vice director of Yancheng Municipal Office and administrative vice director of Yancheng Automobile Office, Xu Lianguo, the chairman of Zonda Group, Xu Shi, the administrative vice president of Zonda Group, Li Taohong, the chairman of Zonda board of supervisors, Xu Zicai, the administrative director of Zonda Group, Ma Xian, the general manager of Zonda Automobile Group, and Liu Guichun, the vice-general manager of Zonda Automobile Sales Co, etc.
Xu Lianguo, the chairman of Zonda Group said Zonda Group had made remarkable progress under the care of the government of all levels and with the help of Yancheng people. Zonda Group always remembered its social responsibility, would share worries with the country at any time, and would take the responsibility for the people. This crisis was right the time for Zonda to repay the society and show its kindness. Mr. Xu handed the 3 blood-collection buses to the Yancheng Red Cross staff and asked the related persons to take regards to the people in the disaster area.
These donated buses to Si Chuan were also taking the urgent materials raised by Yancheng Red Cross, including masks, quilts, shoes, drinking water and rice, etc, the total value of which is about RMB 728500. It is reported that the buses will leave right away for the disaster area after the donation ceremony. And it is expected that they will get there and join the rescue efforts in two days.
