China Exports Coach to South Korea for the First Time

Recently, China YOUNGMAN Coach Company’s Coach "Star Line" which adopted German NEOPLAN technology has been firstly launched to Seoul, Republic of Korea.

According to South Korean media's reports, this large-sized sight-seeing Coach Korean Big Motors Company bought is priced 242 million won (about RMB 1.644 million), higher 40 to 50 million won (about RMB 270,000 to 340,000) than Hyundai Motor's high-grade Coach "UNIBUS".

Kim Chenming, South Korea Big Motors' general manager said, the body of Coach "Star Line" is 3.7 meters high than common Korean sight-seeing coach, and this has aroused Korean Tourism Company's attention. Competitor Hyundai Motor official said it is concerned about Chinese-made buses' impact on South Korean market.

Analysts expressed that exporting coach to South Korea is a signal that shows China Coach Manufacturers' strength.

Statistics show units until the end of 2007, both production and sales of China bus & coach have exceeded 360,000 units, up 20.61 percent and 21.57 percent year-on-year.
