Can Water Be Used as Fuel?
english.Chinabuses.com 2008-7-22

Genepax, a Japanese technology firm,  is claiming that it has developed a vehicle that uses water as a fuel. According to the claims made by the firm, the modified battery vehicle can run for around one hour at a speed of 80km/h on a litre of water, by  converting the hydrogen in the water for use as power source.

According to the company it is generating sufficient current to drive the vehicle and splitting the atomic bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen to produce more fuel, all without external aid. However, doubts have been cast on the Japanese firm’s claims by experts into alternative fuel sources who are highly sceptical that the system can work efficiently. The Japanese maker has responded by saying that the test vehicle they showed recently,  does indeed run on water, although the company has been very cautious about giving technical details of its technology.
