China's Chongqing Changan Auto Aug sales 8,884 units

Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd (SZA 000625; SZB 200625) said it sold 8,884 vehicles in August, with production at 3,530 units.

In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said that Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co Ltd, its joint venture with Ford Motor Co, produced 5,390 vehicles in August with sales of 12,370 units.

Chongqing Changan Suzuki, its 51 pct-owned joint venture with Suzuki Motor, sold 8,681 vehicles last month on production of 6,293 units.

Chongqing Changan Automobile, the listed arm of China's fourth-largest automaker Changan Automotive Group, did not provide comparative figures.
