FAW Group recently announced that the company delivered a total of 105,698 vehicles in the month of August. Total sales included 91,842 passenger cars, 6,148 medium and heavy trucks, 4,741 light vehicles and 2,425 mini buses.

Total sales for the first 8 months of 2008 rose 17.1 percent to 1,084,130 units. Passenger car sales accounted for 866,481 units, rising 19.8 percent over last year. Medium and heavy truck sales jumped 20 percent to 134,306 units. Light vehicle and mini bus sales reached 48,546 units and 30,335 units, down 4.2 percent and 9.6 percent respectively year-over-year.
