Special Vehicles Develop Fast in China
english.Chinabuses.com 2008-11-07

In recent years, the market of special vehicle in China has shown a strong growth momentum. Figures show that the output exceeded 800,000 units at last year. According to an industry report, 517 companies are involved in manufacturing special vehicles in 2008, most of them small- and medium-sized enterprises. Experts estimate that the annual output of special vehicles in China will reach 900,000 units in the next five years, an increase of 25 percent compared with current output.

The optimistic estimate comes from several factors, such as road construction, urban expansion, energy transportation and engineering operations, etc. Key projects in China, like the Western Development Program, the revitalization of traditional industrial bases in Northeast China and the World Expo in Shanghai, require quality special vehicles, which are expected to drive growth of the industry.
