November 16, Dalian development zone electric bus test launching ceremony held in the square of Dalian development zone. Assistant mayor of Dalian city, Dalian director of the Economic Commission Liuyan etc. as well as the former mayor of Dalian city Weifuhai took part in the launching ceremony.

It is said that the test launching electric buses are produced by the Dalian development zone Yiwei Electric Manufacturing Co. Ltd. The company is a local enterprise, more than a decade of research and development, has developed 3 models of pure electric vehicles, 7 models of electric cars which have received national patents 8, the trial of 6 meters and 8 meters models have been adopted by the state departments of detection. The 3 electric buses test launched in the No. 3 and No. 5 bus lines in development zone are the company's newly developed product with per hour speed of 120 km, 400 km mileage range. It’s the only unit which has domestic power possession wheel electric motor vehicles with independent intellectual property rights after Japan, the United States and Italy.
