China Nov Auto Exports Down 46.5% On Year To 35,800 Units
english.Chinabuses.com 2009-01-04

China's auto exports fell 46.5% in November to 35,800 units from the same period last year, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Wednesday, citing data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

November's auto exports were also 30.4% lower than in October, the report said, citing the semi-official industry group.

While the report didn't give a reason for the slowdown, the country's auto industry has apparently been hit hard by weaker demand both domestically and globally.

In November, China's auto imports still grew 3.5% to 33,300 units from the year-earlier month but the growth rate was markedly slower than October's year-on-year rise, the report said. It didn't give October's increase.
