New progress has been achieved on domestic pure electric vehicle technology development: new type of pure electric huge bus researched by Beijing Institute of Technology will be exhibited in Beijing recently.

Since Beijing Institute of Technology has undertaken the "863" electric vehicle important special project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, two type of pure electric huge bus had been manufactured, including luxury sight seeing bus and low chassis bus. Both types of vehicle were added electronic control system on the base of original chassis. The latest researched electric vehicle type reorganized wire distribution on vehicle body, and optimized the whole vehicle energy resource, and so it is actually a completely new designed vehicle type.

Presently, domestic traditional automobile technology level is over ten years behind foreign developed countries, but there is little difference comparing to outside on electric vehicle aspect. Expert deemed that if China investment more fund and manpower, to enforce the research, advanced level of foreign countries can be achieved or evenexceeded on respect of new automobile technology.
