On July 14, 2004, Volkswagen automobile group implement a series of great decision to expand the cooperation with China First Automobile Group.

Volkswagen and the First Automobile Factory spare part Co., Ltd. Invested by Volkswagen automobile group and China first automobile group together, which is the sub project of the plan that Volkswagen already announced the total investment reached 5.3 billion euro to 2008.

On the same day, Volkswagen and the First Automobile Group also announced both sides have already decided to make a investment to build the new engine factory in Dalian. The engine has advanced level and will make the example in environment protection and energy-conserving with the advantage of low exhaustion and oil consumption, this is a direction of development that the automobile industrial policy encourages too.
