Shanghai popularizes the intelligent public transit system, and estimate the transportation will realize information managed. More than 10,000 city buses in the public transportation routes of urban area will install GPS equipment, the station which has big flow passengers will install electron showing board.

Restrict by some factors such as the road conditions, the traffic jam, in the past time it's customary the public city bus appear big alternate phenomenon. Lead passengers are unable to obtain the exactly traffic information. But after all city buses installed GPS system, passengers can learn the message from the station electron board and also can control their route.

It's reported that this project received great help from Shanghai government, introduced the way "government guide with market operation" ,in order to reduce the burden of public transit enterprises.
