China Changchun International Automobile Expo, in northeast China's Jilin Province, has initially been admitted into the Union of International Fairs (UFI), the country's second after the Auto Shanghai, said a local government official.

Changchun, a base of China's auto industry, has been hosting the biennial event since 1999. The Fourth Changchun Auto Expo in this August was attended by over 1,000 auto companies from 27 countries and regions with 600 varieties of vehicles.

The UFI is the association of the world's leading tradeshow organizers and fairground owners, as well as the major national and international associations of the exhibition industry. Its certificate is internationally recognized as a hallmark of quality exhibitions.
