TIANJIN - China's Tianjin plans to invest 110 billion yuan (US$13.6 billion) in transport infrastructure by the year 2010, sources of Tianjin Municipal Communication Committee disclosed.

By 2010, the mileage of highway open to traffic will reach 12,500 kilometres, including 1,100 km of expressway. The volume of road haulage will be 300 million tons and the number of passengers transported, 50 million person times.
