A New Chapter for International Souring

Busworld asia 2006 organized by BAAV, the Urban Public Transport Institute of the China Civil Engineering Society and VNU Exhibitions Asia was launched in the Shanghai New International Expo Center yesterday. Bus and coach manufacturers and operators gathered in the exhibition halls covering 23,000 sqm to present the development of the industrial production chain to the global visitors. The show reflects the harmonious and healthy development of China's bus and coanch industry as well as its international counterparts. On the first day of Busworld Asia 2006, three leading bus and coach manufacturing companies held their new products launch ceremony on site, which reflects the great importance of Busworld Asia in China's bus and coach industry.

Industrial leaders gathering in Shanghai

The 18th edition of Busworld was successfully held in Kortrijk last October. With an exhibition space covering 43,000 sqm, the biennial show attracted around 25,000 visitors and 300 bus and companies over its six-day run and reaffirmed its status as the leading show with true European and world appeal. As the only officially appointed delegation, VNU Exhibitions Asia organized the Chinese delegation to visit the grand show and set up a both to present China's bus and coach market to the international visitors. This helped to promote the "international sourcing" idea advocated by Busworld Asia. Xiamen's Kinglong exhibited at the Busworld Kortrijk for the first time, which attracted considerable attention from the visitors. This is another lead for international visitors coming to China to attend the Busworld Asia 2006.

Authoritative platform and global impact

Marketing research is vital for Chinese bus manufacturers and operators to develop their business overseas. Busworld Asia plays an important role as a platform by holding the enterprises' meeting, Asia Coach Week, study forums and other award ceremonies. Meanwhile, the international platform and global information network from BAAV enable domestic bus enterprises to communicate with theirinternational counterparts and to get better understanding of the market demands.
