China exported 62,628 units of automobiles in the first quarter of this year, up 139 percent fromthe same period in the previous year, according to statistics fromthe Ministry of Commerce.

The Ministry said during the January-March period, China's vehicle export volume amounted to 647 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 204.5 percent year on year.
