Beijing Olympic Games, 50 new green electric city buses will be put into the public
transport operation. According to the report, these new model city buses have
the ability to list automotically when the bus arrived the station, passengers
can enter the compartment very convenience. The design is humanism. New
12-metre-long electric city buses can accommodate , can accommodate 90 passengers,
the treadle height is about 360 mm, lower than the current operational "low
treadle" model buses 40 mm. Taking into account of the disabled passengers
, the new buses allocats the treadle for wheelchair which controlled by the driver. Yuan
Xiaochun, the general engineer of Jinghua Bus Company introduced that:such a battery-driven
city buses can travel above 200 kilometres after electricized four hours, the
life-span of each battery is two years. Before this operation, there was 10 sample
electric city bus tested on the 121 line and received well effective.
