China's Auto Exports Rise in the first half of year

In the first half of 2006, the number of China's automobile exports continued to grow rapidly, especially car exports, which have already exceeded 2005's total.

In the first half of the year, China exported 148 thousand vehicles, an increase of more than 100% from the same period last year and the value of those exports has grown by 110 %, according to the Chinese Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

China has now exported 34,500 cars, an increase of 260 %; exports have grown by 44.5 % and passenger vehicle exports have climbed by 74 %.

In fact, all foreign trade in automobile-related industries has developed rapidly in the first half of this year. China trades mostly with developed European and American countries. The United States is China's biggest trading partner and China's income from automobile-related exports to them has increased by 39.2 %. Japan is China's second largest trading partner and the Republic of Korea is the third largest. Canada, Germany, Iran, Turkey, Holland, the United Arab Emirates and Italy are also among China's ten largest trading partners.
