It is reported that monthly sales of FAW Group continually ranked first in China automotive industry in August. The company sold 98,267 vehicles for the month, a 12.4 percent rise over July sales.

FAW's sales marketing group stated that a total of 749,000 vehicles had been sold from January thru August, a 23.97% increase over the same period last year. Total sales included 58,000 buses and coaches. The January thru August statistics also reflected a market share of 16.5 percent for FAW Group. Sales revenue reached 94.7 billion Yuan (RMB), up 38.4 percent. Profits added up to 1.94 billion Yuan (RMB), 5.6 times the same period in 2005.
