China Buses Approved to Enter Turkey

Many China bus makers are boosting their overseas presences along with rapidly growing domestic business, but the export of China buses are mainly shipped to Asia, Africa and Latin America. Zonda Bus, after unrelenting efforts in innovation and development, has successfully launched A9, A7 and A5 series that can rival international counterparts and sold the products in scale to Russia, Turkey, Algeria, Cameron and the US building up long-term relationship with partners in more than 30 countries and regions.

Zonda buses received recognition from the Turkish government in last September to become the first Chinese bus maker that has entered Turkey market with approval from the Turkey Ministry of Industry, which is a landmark case for Zonda as the Turkey government permission has paved the way for Zonda to enter the EU market following its successful development in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Shortly after, Zonda Bus has reached a cooperation deal with the Istanbul Automobile Group agreeing to set up a assembly bus plant in Istanbul with annual output capacity at 3000 vehicles, and the agreement on assembly coach and bus project in Turkey has opened the door for Zonda to roll out its business in the EU market.

The presence of Zonda in Turkey has alarmed European bus makers. The European bus makers, which have been undisputed leader in the global bus manufacturing business for decades, suddenly faced the huge pressure from Chinese competitors. Neoplan, the German bus maker, recently filed a lawsuit against Zonda alleging violation of bus design violation, but market watchers said that Neoplan is filing the lawsuit in a bid to block China buses export to the EU market.

Industry analysts argued that Zonda Bus will definitely boost its presence in Europe after its entry into the Turkey market and the coming of China buses in the EU will give a heavy blow to European bus makers as the price of China-made buses are usually priced 1/3 or even 1/4 of the similar European products. Therefore, it is not strange for EU bus makers to try all possible ways to deter China buses makers' entry in the European market.
