to Mr. Chi Peng, Deputy General Manager of Three Gorges Tourism Development Co.,
Ltd. The
Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge, are the most amazing, most
spectacular gorges of the Yangtze River, the biggest river of China. The ancient
poets left us the famous poem that "it is difficult to be water for one who
has seen the great seas, and difficult to be clouds for one who has seen the Yangtze
Gorges." The
Three Gorges before our eyes now is a world famous tourist attraction with extraordinary
landscape and picturesque scenes. Therefore, a unique Three Gorges dam sightseeing
project has been promoted by the Three Gorges and has been authorized the use
of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Mascots. Three
Gorges Tourism Company is the only enterprise in the Three Gorges Dam that is
legally authorized to operate the passenger transport on Three Gorges special
roads. It possesses more than 100 buses at different levels and carries passengers
for more than 5 million men times annually. It is mainly engaged in the public
transit and transport, expressway transportation, regional tourism transportation,
taxi service and auto repair service in the Three Gorges Dam. This
time the Xiamen Golden Dragon 6111 series of large luxury tourism buses used by
Three Gorges Tourism Company are new environmental-friendly tourism buses with
specially designed Panoramic Glass on the basis of 6121 series which has won the
award for Coach Appearance of the Year BAAV Awards 2006 for tourism buses at the
BusWorld Asia 2006. It is a brand new vehicle style independently developed by
Xiamen Golden Dragon with complete intellectual property right. The appearance
of the vehicle body integrates graceful oriental esthetics with European charm.
The 2.55 meters of super-wide vehicle body, ceiled air condition and taper-form
curved windshield combined to give a dynamic feeling; the new optimized FZ6110G11
chassis, rear ISBE220-31 environmental protective Cummins engine conforming to
Euro III standard and imported Spanish electric vortex retarder ensure the low
fuel consumption and conformity to Euro III emission standard, and the power and
reliability of the vehicle is remarkably improved. 8 front springs and 10 rear
springs can satisfy the demand of mountainous roads. Imported ABS, automatic brake
adjusters and vehicle traveling data recorder provide more security for driving.
The vehicle
is equipped with light gray blue luxury half back seat, single panel electrical-controlled
pneumatic out-swinging front door and middle door, imported Korea Mando air-condition,
wall mounting water heater, electric control rear view mirror, push-in electronic
clock with temperature reading, double safe roof windows with ventilation function,
abat vent, guardrails, enclosed side windows and broadcasting system in 6 languages.
It is an economic, comfortable and safe buses with a relatively high performance/price
ratio. This
new environmental protective tourism buse has a streamline body shape, panorama
glass, enlarged side windows and curved arc glass on the roof and sides. The green
glasses can provide passengers a harmonious color and light change under the blue
sky and white cloud while touring the enchanting natural sight of the Three Gorges.
Three Gorges Tourism Company firstly used Xiamen Golden Dragon buses in the first
tourism line of the biggest Three Gorges Dam project in the world. The outside
of the car body is decorated with the spectacular scene of the Three Gorges. This

despite of many particulars reaching high requirements of spray painting. This
work shows the high level of painting technique and is a beautiful flowing scene
of the Three Gorges Dam, which is well-received by tourists. It will cause a sensation

tourist attractions and exert significant and far-reaching influences on the tourism
car industry in the future. The
new concept environmental protective tourism buses are the fruit of many consultations
