Yanfeng, president of China FAW Group Corporation, granted an interview to the
journalists from Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (RTR)
at Changchun FAW's headquarters on Dec. 14. To
celebrate the up-coming activity of "Year of China 2007" to be held
in Russia, RTR will screen a specific TV program to trace the development of China's
automotive industry. FAW Group is chosen as the primary section in the program
since it is the first and the largest automotive group in China, and also the
reflection of China's automotive industry. FAW Group president Zhu Yanfeng answered
the questions put forward by RTR, including the development of China's automotive
industry, the export tax of vehicle products, FAW's scale, and the perspective
of FAW Group at Russian automotive market. When
talking about FAW's planning, Zhu Yanfeng said:"FAW Group will produce and
sell over 2 million units in 5 to10 years, in which our own brand products will
be accounted for over 1 million. FAW will strive to enroll in the world top 10
and our products will be more competitive in the world market." He also expressed
his gratitude to the support of Russian automotive experts in the past years.
Zhu Yanfeng is very interesting and optimistic for the joint development of automotive
industry with Russia in the future.
