Group Import and Export Corporation (FAWIE), the international sales division
of FAW Group, plans to export over 20,000 vehicles to Russia within the next two
years, including city buses, tourist coaches, and commercial light, medium, heavy
trucks and passenger cars. Sales will include completely built-up (CBU) vehicles
as well as CKD and SKD kits. "Our

has aggressively expanded its international sales in recent years, having exported
over 70,000 vehicles as CBUs and CKD/SKD kits to more than 70 countries around
the world, in addition to OEM/aftermarket parts and components. The company has
established overseas production facilities in Pakistan, South Africa, Tanzania,
Ukraine, and Vietnam, and will soon add Russia to the list. Overall, FAWIE exported
14,256 vehicles in 2006, a 63 percent jump over the previous year, with sales
of US $148 million.
