The
Fifth China Changchun International Automobile
Expo will be held from July 13 to 22 in Changchun,
capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province.
This year's expo will have an exhibition area
of 140,000 sq m, compared with 120,000 sq m
in the previous session in 2005.
The exhibition, along with interactive and cultural
activities, will be the three important parts
of this year's event.
Famous domestic and international automobile
brands will be displayed in seven exhibition
halls and visitors will be invited to take a
test drive of the latest models.
A highlight of the event is the Changchun Automobile
Festival to be held on July 15, the foundation
day of First Automotive Works (FAW). FAW is
the cradle of the Chinese automobile industry
and is now the leading automaker in the country.
The China Changchun International Automobile
Expo is a biennial event. Over the past eight
years, the expo has developed into one of the
top three automobile shows in China.
