from Ningbo Louie Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd
announced on August 18 that Northbenz (Baotou)
Heavy Vehicle Co., Ltd cooperated with Ningbo
Louie Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd to set up a
new bus company to produce city buses. Both
sides invested 300 million yuan to this project
and the first bus will be launched in January
2008. Ningbo Louie Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd
located in the east of Zhejiang Province, which
specialized in electric bicycles.
According
to the plans, the production capacity of Northbenz
(Ningbo) Bus Co., Ltd will reach 8,000 buses
per year and net profit will get 1,200 million
yuan. Meanwhile, the tax income will reach 160
million yuan. Northbenz (Ningbo) Bus Co., Ltd
will adopt Benz technology to produce the city
bus. The workshops will be completed in November
2007.
