Dongfeng
Group invested 1,600 million yuan to set up
the technical center in Wuhan economic and technical
development zone. The ground-breaking ceremony
was held in Wuhan on August 22, 2007. This is
another way to improve Dongfeng's competitive
power.
Technical
Center of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle is responsible
for heavy truck, bus & coach, engine and
cab's research and development. The area of
center is 200,000 square meters and nearly 1,300
engineers work for it. After the construction
completed, the center has advanced engine, electron,
material, spare part and environment laboratory.
Meanwhile, auto museum, test track and laboratory
building will be used at that time. The construction
of technical center has great significance for
Dongfeng Group. It can help Dongfeng to easy
realize its targets.
The
manufacturing technology of Dongfeng Group always
runs in the first position in China and the
selling volume reached 93,000 units in the first
half of 2007, up 26% year-on-year.
