Beijing
Institute of Technology completed the project
of Beijing Electric Bus's Promotion and Application
for 2008 Olympic games on August 27, 2007.
The
project of electric bus BK6122EV is one of an
item of Beijing science & technology plan
and state's 863 programs. The technology of
electric bus can resolve the environmental pollution
and the energy sources crisis. Furthermore,
China completely has its own independent intellectural
property rights and will plan to serve Beijing
2008 Olympic games. It fully represents green,
scientific, technical and humanities Olympics.
It
was reported that BK6122EV had got the approvals
from the government and produced seven buses
for testing. At present, it is running at the
No.121 route. According to the plans, the volume
production will be launched at the end of this
year with 50 units and put into service for
Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
