Ladies
and Gentlemen,
It
is a great pleasure to be here and to celebrate
together with you today another very important
milestone in the development of Pubilc Transport
here in Beijing.
We
at ZF are proud to be your partner in the challenge
to solve the growing need for environmental
friendly, safe and comfortable public transportation
in your metropolis.
Since
2002 most modern full low floor buses have been
installed in Beijing with latest ZF-low floor
axle technology. At the end of this year, more
than 2500 sets of ZF low floor axle, over 7000
ZF steering gears and over 500 automatic transmissions
are put into service. We are glad to see that
Beijing people love the availability of most
modern vehicle technology and their benefits.
Today
we come together to celebrate another important
step of "Beijing Pubilc Transport"
and are proud to be part of this important step,
the indroduction of a substantial fleet of zero
emission, battery-driven buses.
As
a sign of our ongoing partnership in modern
low floor busesfor public transport systems
we do celebrate together the donation of 50
sets of super low floor axles by ZF for the
first larger fleet of battery driven buses to
be put into operation soon.
We
admire and congratulate "Beijing Pubilc
Transport" for its courage and strategic
far-sighted view and decision and we are happy
to support this with the significant contribution.

allow me in this context to share also a few
pieces of informatin of our company ZF and our
