environment-friendly buses showed on the route of Yuntong 104 in Beijing on September
19, 2007. As to a plan, the total number of buses in Beijing will reach 20 thousand
at the end of June 2008; thereinto, 92% of these buses' emission will reach EuroIV
standard. According
to the introduction from Beijing Xianglong Public Transport Co., Ltd, the second
batch of new environment-friendly buses will be launched at the end of this year.
The total number will reach 100 units; meanwhile, Beijing Public Transport Holdings,
Ltd will wash out 1,500 old-style buses gradually. At the end of June 2008, it
will purchase 2,500 environment-friendly buses.
