On
the morning of September 24, a grand ceremony "Urban Public Transport, Enjoyed
by the whole world" opened in Yutong Group for "the Delivery of Yutong
BRT Bus to Cuba". Mr. Carlos, Cuban ambassador to China, accepted the symbolic
key from President Tang Yuxiang of Yutong Group, and after that, 200 units of
18-meter-long BRT buses slowly rolled out of Yutng Industrial Park and headed
for the port of Lianyungang for shipment.

at the ceremony were the ambassador and the consul of Cuban Embassy in China,
leaders from Henan People`s Congress Standing Committee, Overseas Chinese Affairs
Office of Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Henan Provincial and Zhengzhou Municipal
Commerce Departments and the Customs and Deputy Mayor of Zhengzhou, and also the
representatives of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery
and Electronic Products, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and American
Energy Foundation. They together witness the first batch of China`s biggest export
order of buses signed by Yutong in 2007 delivered to Cuba successfully. This ceremony
was covered live by a dozen domestic main media.

It`s
known that in March 2007, an export order for 5,348 buses, the biggest one in
China`s bus industry, was signed between Yutong and Cuba. The total value of the
order is 370 million US dollars with the average price of each unit at 69 thousand
US dollars. The 200 BRT buses delivered this time is the first batch of this order,
valued RMB300 million. In 2005, Yutong ended the one-off business for China`s
Bus Industry by way of exporting CKD, and since then, the export of Yutong has
been growing for 3 consecutive years, which makes Yutong not only renovate its
own record repeatedly and stay above the list of the domestic bus manufacturers
in the export area, but also covers up to 98% of the import market share in Cuba
and thus becomes a famous bus brand worthy of the name in Cuba. As a matter of
fact, the case of Cuba is only an epitome of Yutong in the overseas market because
Yutong is aimed to become an international main bus supplier. Yutong got the first
qualification of "Export and Import Exemption from Inspection" for China
bus industry. Yutong has exported buses to more than 30 countries including Russia,
America, and countries in Middle East, Africa and South Asia as well as Cuba.
Yutong ranks second only to Benz with respect to its total sales volume.
The
BRT bus exported this time is a representative product of the latest domestic
bus technology, and more importantly, the price of each unit reaches high up to
1.5 million RMB. The insiders believe that changes are taking place in the export
structure of Yutong, from the initial unit price of hundreds of thousands of Yuan
for the bus exported to the present millions of Yuan for each unit. The above-said
facts indicate that, with the increasing export volume, Yutong pays greater attention
to the optimization of the product structure by increasing the quality and the
unit price of the exported buses so as to promote the upgrade of the industry
into one with high added-value. The export case of Yutong reflects that Chinese
buses are breaking away from their traditional impression of "filling at
the price", and Yutong is building the image of "Made in China"
overseas all over again with the increasing technology and product structure.

BRT
system has now become the main move for the transport development in large and
medium-sized cities all around the world. For the research and development of
