The
first batch of 6 units 12-meter electric buses,
which were manufactured by Anhui Ankai Automobile
Co., Ltd, will be completed in the middle of
this October. Being the designated vehicle served
for Olympic Village during 2008 Beijing Olympic
Games, these buses fully reveal the theory of
Beijing Olympics: Green Olympics and high-tech-empowered
Olympics.
According
to the introduction, this electric-powered bus
is the newest type among Ankai new energy buses.
The rechargeable battery system totally substitutes
tranditional diesel engine system, thus realizing
zero emission of off gas. Compared with traditional
batteries, this batch of electric buses adopt
Li-ion battery plus super capacitance structure,
the battery power can reach 150kw. Charging
6 to 7 hours could run more than 200 kilometers.
Except for innovation on power system, the bus
also chooses Ankai Zunjia 380 luxury bus structure
as its model, attaining first-class level both
on technology and driving comfort.
However,
it is said that this batch of electric buses
could only be produced in small quantity because
of the bottleneck in battery technology. The
production in large quantity will be realised
during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. The sources
from Ankai expressed the price of electric bus
will be equal with the price of same grade bus
at that time.
