Recently,
Chongqing municipal vice mayor Yu yuanmu paid a visit to Chongqing Hengtong Bus
Company. Along with his were Yang maochao, president of Chongqing Public Transport
Group; Lei jun, general manager of Chongqing Public Transport Group and Deng ping,
general manager of Chongqing Hengtong Bus Company. They made a detailed report
about Hengtong BRT bus to vice mayor Yu yuanmu. Yu yuanmu also curiously walked
on Hengtong BRT bus to enjoy its outstanding performance. Nowadays, first BRT
bus has appeared in Chongqing, and will be on the expressway until next New Year's
day.

Acoording
to the introduction, this BRT bus adopts Cummins engine, and has reached Euro
3 emission standard. The designed miles per hour could reach 90 kilometers. Moreover,
the bus has been installed video camera to monitor passengers getting on and off
the bus. It
is estimated there are 30 units BRT buses to be put into operation in Chongqing
and the cost of each BRT bus would be nearly RMB 1 million.
