Automobile
has changed human life, but also caused obsession to human beings. How to solve
the environment pollution which caused by increasingly automobiles has becoming
more and more important. From October 25th to 28th, the 5th Beijing International
Clean Vehicles Exhibiton & Clean Vehicle Technology Development Forum was
held at Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Hall. This exhibition was host by the
Stade Ministry of Science and Technology, State Environmental Protection Administration
and Beijing Municipal Government. The exhibition was the highest standarded and
largest scaled internatioal exhibition in Clean Vehicle domain. Many enterprises
carried the advanced technology took part in this exhibition. As a environment-friendly
bus leader, Zhongtong bus, which carried "eleven fifth 863 plan" achievements-electric
bus and hybrid-powered bus, has participated this exhibition.

Electric Bus for Olympic 2008
At
the exhibitin, this Olympic electric bus, launched by Zhongtong, adopts Chinese
tranditional red as the main colour and matched with a yellow dragon pattern which
full of Chinese ethnic elements. According to the introduction, the bus running
one kilometer only takes one kilowatt-hour, and charging one time could run more
than 250 kilometers. In collaboration with Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute
of Technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, Zhongtong, with nearly 40 years bus
production experience, guarantees its first position in clean vehicle area. Additionally,
the bus has been equipped with comfortable seats in order to provide enjoyable
sitting experience. Therefore, excellent power quality and endeavor on details
make Zhongtong win the clients praise. At present, this electric bus is used to
pick up Olympic Organizer Committee officers, athletes, journalists and foreign
friends. Moreover, in the back of the bus, there has four business areas and have
been installed AC outlet which could solve the charging problem of journalist's
leptop. At
the same time, along with this electric bus at the exhibition was a hybrid-powered
bus. According to the insiders, this hybrid-powered bus adopts oil and electricity
mixed power, and has been fully discussed with many famous universities and research
institutes. This hybrid bus can save 31% oil compared with common bus and realises
"zero" emission. The application of "hybrid-power system"
provide two running patterns include mere electric and hybrid power. Some human-oriented
designs also pay more attentions to disables. Thus, in the public bidding of hybrid
bus hosted by Beijing Public Transport Holdong, Zhongtong has finally won the
bid rely on its excellent performance. This indicate that Zhongtong hybric bus
has become more and more mature after two years market trials. Advanced
technology has changed our habits and lives. Developing environment protection
vehicles complies with the society and time's requirements and has gradually been
accepted by more and more people. These two types clean vehicles displayed by
Zhongtong has not only revealed the research strength of our enterprises, but
also showed our bus enterprise's strong social responsibility. As the Bus &
