The
delivery ceremony of the designated bus for the 16th Jinji & Baihua (Golden
Cock and Hundred Flowers) Film Festival was held at the Yangchenghu Service Area
on Shanghai-Nanjing Highway a few days ago. Higer Bus, which has recently been
named a Chinese famous brand, is selected again as the designated bus for a great
event-the Jinji & Baihua Film Festival to be held in Suzhou very soon. 
It
is reported that Higer Bus Company will put 18 high-grade Higer buses to use for
the coming festival. SCANIA.HIGER A90 and A80 buses involved in service are top
luxurious ones jointly manufactured by Higer Bus Company and SCANIA Commercial
Vehicle Company from Sweden and are technically and environmentally advanced in
the world. Zhou
Weiqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee
and vice mayor of the Suzhou Municipal Government, pointed out in an interview
that Higer Bus, as a domestically famous auto brand based in Suzhou, has been
a good example in introducing and assimilating new technologies as well as in
independent innovation for years, and Higer buses has served a number of major
international events like the 15th Asian Games in Doha and the 2007 Qingdao International
Regatta, achieving remarkable successes for Suzhou's auto brand. Also, he expressed
his conviction that Higer Bus would surely win great honors for the festival through
its rich experience in serving international great events. Zhou
was quite familiar with Higer buses and personally introduced the features of
SCANIA.HIGER A90 to the guests, standing before the Higer buses arranged in good
order. He then got on a SCANIA HIGHER A80 commercial bus in high spirits for a
ride and praised Higer buses as a model of luxury and comfort. Xu
Jianzhong, assistant general manager of Higer Bus Company, said at the delivery
ceremony that the manufacturing base of Higer buses is located along the Jinji
Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park and Higer Bus is proud to be able to part of the
Jinji Festival. He regarded it as a great responsibility to have become the designated
bus service provider again. Also, he solemnly promised that the company will cooperate
closely with the organizing committee of the festival to ensure the good operation
of buses for safe and considerate service so as to contribute to the success of
the 16th Jinji & Baihua Film Festival. According
to a briefing, Higer Bus Company has been crowned this year with the title of
BAAV Coach Builder of the Year known as coach "Oscar". In the first
three quarters, Higer buses achieved sales of RMB 3.563 billion and exports of
over USD 100 million, exceeding those in the same period last year. After
the delivery ceremony, 18 Higer buses spearheaded by a SCANIA.HIGER A90 set off
in an impressive procession on the way to their assignment. Golden cocks crow
in high spirits, flowers bloom in rich fragrance. It is believed that Higer buses
will have their images further enhanced through the festival and the festival
in its turn will benefit from the service provided by Higer buses.
