Recently,
the first batch of electric buses of which top speed reached 80 km got off the
production line of China Hunan Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. With
the approval of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of
the State Council, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric Co., Ltd. is a limited liability
company commonly initiated by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute
(abbr. "ZELRI"), CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd., CSR Qisuyan
Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works, China Railway Large Maintenance Machinery
Co., Kunming and New Leap Rail Equipment Investment and Development Co., Ltd., Rely
on the advanced technical on the researching of electric vehicle of ZELRI, Southern
Electric Vehicle Company built this production line with an annual output of 3000
electric buses and hybrid buses, and 1000 units annual capability of electricity
transmission system. The
new electric bus of "CSR Times" has length of 10 meters, except the
exhaust pipe, the same appearance with the ordinary buses. The maximum speed of
this electric bus can reach 80 kilometers, and the bus can run almost 200 kilometers
with one charge, also has a strong climbing ability and quiet, low-emission and
comfortable. Expert told to journalist that after electric exhausted, the vehicle
can finish the rapid charging in two hours. And the expert believe that these
technical indicators able to meet the demand of urban public transportation.
With
the off-line of electric buses, there's including 11.5 meters hybrid bus, compared
to the traditional buses, this hybrid bus can save energy for 20% to 30%.
For
the consideration of protection of the environment and energy-saving, a growing
number of cities and tourist spots showing strong interest to the electric buses.
Vice provincial governor of Hunan province Xu Xianping expressed that, from the
beginning of 2007, the government of Hunan province allocate more than 35 million
yuan for the special funds for the development of electric buses.
