recently learned from Xiamen, "Xiamen's Automobile Industry development project"
which launched by Xiamen Economic development Bureau have been passed by Xiamen
Municipal Goverment . According to this project, Xiamen's automobile industry
is expected to be the Global large medium bus production base, and would realise
total industrial output value RMB 30 billion in 2010. In
recent years, Xiamen automobile induatry has got further development. Both "King
Long" and "Golden Dragon" have been awarded "China Top Brand",
the produce capability and market share of these brands rank front among China
bus industry. In 2006, King Long production system (include King long suzhou)
has realised total industrial output value RMB 10 billion. Both King Long and
Golden Dragon have possess the aptitude to produce bus chassis. Under Xiamen Municipal
Government's plan of building export base of automobiles and auto parts, Xiamen
automobile industry is underdoing a new round development. Xiamen
Automobile Industry City, which led by King long and can produce bus body, chassis,
gearbox, engine, and vehicle air-condition, is under construction. From 2007 to
2009, Xiamen Municipal Government is expected to arrange 50 million yuan capital
to assit Automobile Industry City. Based
on this development goal, large and medium-sized buses will reach an annual output
of 40,000 capacity until 2009 in Xiamen, among which, high-grade products, low-floor
city bus and export products will be the focus of development. Moreover, energy-saving
and environmental protection products will also attain Internatioal advanced level. Editor
