On
19 December 2007, Jiangsu Chonglong Bus Co., Ltd and Scania Sales (China) Co.,
Ltd held BRT Bus Offline Ceremony. Governors and Kunda Huang, board chairman of
Changlong Bus Company, participated in the ceremony. Signing
Ceremony for technology cooperation between Changlong and Scania was held on 10
June 2007 in which Jintao Hu, the president of China, attended. 18 meters BRT
chassis and vehicle technology was brought in according to agreement. And first
batch of BRT buses were successfully developed and will be put into use with the
cooperation of experts between China and Switzerland. It was amazing in such a
short time in six months.

He, general manager of Scania said, BRT is a kind of bus rapid transit, with the
characters of high design efficiency, small investment and low cost and high efficiency,
and is a simple and flexible public transportation tool which can increase passenger
traffic volume. The
biggest advantage of BRT is long-term plan and stable earning which requires 10
to 15 years plan and long-term investment by government. BRT is simple and easy
investment compared with others rapid transit.

management of Beijing BRT Line set a good example, we will witness the third period
rapid and healthy development of BRT from 2008, he added, totally there are 8
cities which have built BRT, including Beijing, Changzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing,
etc, and Sian and other 10 cities is programming BRT. It is said that our country¡®s
BRT length will reach 500KM with 1 billion passenger traffic volume per year.
