GAIG(Guangzhou
Auto Industry Group) cooperates with Toyota Auto again on commercial vehicle after
the passenger car. In 24 December, GA Hino Auto Co., Ltd, start of GAIG commercial
vehicle, was founded with a new added investment of 3.1 billion Yuan, and also
it signs a comprehensive large auto group of GAIG is appearing. Fangyou Zhang,
board chairman of GAIG, directly show his ambitions to strengthen cooperation
with Toyota Auto and expand commercial vehicle.
The
project was authorized by National Development and Reform Commission in 30 July,
with its details as following: half investment from GAIG and Hino Company respectively
and recombination of Guangzhou Yangcheng Auto Co., Ltd and Shenyang Shenfei Hino
Auto Manufacturing Company in the mode of "one project, two bases".
GA Hino with 1.5 billion Yuan registered fund and new added investment 1.6 billion
Yuan, recombination of Yangcheng Auto and building construction project with 1
billion Yuan and new added 2.4 billion Yuan and Shenyang Hino project with 0.5
billion Yuan and new added 0.7 billion Yuan.
It
is said that GA Hino occupies 1.06 million square meters and will produce intermediate
bus, such as Hino heavy truck and towing vehicle; Yangcheng brand light truck,
engine and drive bridge in Yangcheng base.
It
is predicted that GA Hino will put into production in mid 2009 and will finish
20 thousand heavy trucks and 30 thousand light trucks in 2010.
"Shenyang
base will be preserved, which has a capacity of 2000 buses and 2500 chassis per
year now, and it will enlarge to 4000 buses and 5000 chassis per year in the future"
news from GAIG said.
"This
is the first step for GAIG to march to commercial vehicle industry, Toyota Auto
hold 50.1% shares in the cooperation" Zhang said, "If possible, the
second step will cooperate with Toyota directly."
