Recently,
the first "carbon neutral" event was launched in China. In a symbolic
gesture, organizers arranged for the planting of 500 trees by the Giti Tire Company
to cancel out the 12,115 kilograms of carbon dioxide. The first "carbon-neutral"
event promotes the movement to zero out the greenhouse gases that will be generated
by the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Giti
