Xiamen Bus Industry Technology Innovation, Academicians' Visiting and Suggestion
Feedback Meeting" was held Xiamen, a port city of Fujian Province, which
was organized by National Development and Reform Commission, Chinese Academy of
Engineering and Xiamen Government and was operated by Xiamen Economy Development
Bureau and Xiamen Kinglong Group. Academician Hukong Guo and other famous experts
attended, making suggestions for Kinglong. "To build the biggest bus base
in Xiamen, aims to sell 30 thousand buses in 2008" Xiamen Government said.
Xiamen
has been one of the most important bases after several years' development of China
bus industry and also is a top bus sales place. Xiamen Kinglong sold 11.102 thousand
buses from Jan to Nov, with an increase of 24% compared with the same period last
year. Yongjia
Dai, spokesman of Kinglong told to reporter, "We have put forward mid-term
objective for next 4 years", he added, "According to the plan, bus sales
volume will reach 40 thousand units with 10 billion Yuan sales account and our
company will become one of the top 6 manufactures in the world." Meanwhile,
Xiamen Government invited outside investment to promote Kinglong' development.
A Yuchai Engine Company was founded and put into production which fills up a blank
in Xiamen. Dai said, "Lack of research experience is one disadvantage, but
through such a meeting, we get more guidance from experts. In order to make the
objective come true, we should strengthen inner operating management, improving
fine management and strengthening clients and talents reserve."
