On
25 December, New Energy Construction, Phase I Project of Dongfeng Travel Bus Company,
a subsidiary company of Dongfeng Auto, was put into production with a capacity
of 3 thousand units of large and medium buses in normal working hours. Fushou
Zhu, Standing Committee member of Party Committee of Dongfeng Co., Ltd, vice president
of Dongfeng Limited Company and general manger of Dongfeng Auto Holding Company,
Yaoyuan Wan, vice president and Standing Committee member of Xiangfan Municipal
Government Committee, Guoqi Lu, Standing Committee member of Xiangfan Municipal
Government Committee and Deputy Major, Xinguang Jia, Top Analyst of China Auto
Industry, representatives and invited guests attended the ceremony.

Zhu gave CNG bus golden key to representatives and Yubo Tang who is from Limin
Transport Company. "It is our dream to expand sales. We have put out relevant
development strategy since the recombination of Dongfeng in 2003, having finished
the first step and the second is progressing which aims to be the number 3 in
recent years", he said. "We
will finish bus and chassis produce and sale over 30 thousand units with sales
revenues over 2.5 billion Yuan", general manager and part secretary of Dongfeng
Travel Bus Co., Ltd, Wencan Zhu said. The
Phase I Project occupies 40 thousand square meters with complete soft design which
is used for body shop, paint shop and assembly shop, and is significant for internationalization
and continuous development for Dongfeng Travel. Until
15 October 2007, bus and chassis produce and sale have reached 19.023 thousand
units, which is half and two months ahead of time to finish annual goal in 2007.
Dongfeng Travel
insists "quality lead benefit" development model to improve operating
efficiency, guided by "Dongfeng make safe"brand theory to offer customers
safe, environmental protecting, economical and comfortable products for promoting
brand building. Totally there are five serious including 40 kinds of products
of Dongfeng nowadays. Dongfeng
also succeeds in overseas market. Nearly one thousand buses were exported under
the guidance of "bus chance, fine operating, consolidate position and improve
level" exported guide line in 2007. On 21 July 2006, Dongfeng signed an agreement
with Ukraine again which is said to export 1 thousand unit buses to Ukraine, On
20 March 2007, Dongfeng singed another with Egypt that 8 hundred unit chassis
will be exported at the end of 2007, and Dongfeng was considered as the second
cooperation supplier after Benz Company by MCV company, setting up a long-term
strategic partner relationship with the company. Meanwhile,
Dongfeng is awarded many prizes such as the most potential enterprise which was
appraised by bus official website and etc.
