Yutong was awarded the first year 'Annual Safety Bus Award', becoming the only
one manufacturer who bears the palm. It is a fact that Yutong have already won
many prizes in recent years, such as 'China Top Brand' and '2004 National Quality
Management Advanced Unit', which was granted in 2004 by General Administration
of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of
China; in 2006, Yutong became the first enterprise who won the 'Export Inspection-Free
Certificate', and it also successfully passed complete vehicle rollover test,
meanwhile, Yutong won 'the Best Coach Manufacturer of BAAV in 2006'. All
the honors come from high quality of Yutong buses and how it really did in the
past? Let's unveil the mystery together: firstly, Yutong people realize that even
a small component will affect the cost of a bus and operating cycle of a complete
vehicle, even clients' benefit, so it is essential to control the buses' quality.
Yutong had its purchase system reformed in October 2006, specializing in management
of suppliers' products quality, cost, delivery and channels by purchasing department.
For choosing, checking in, developing and eliminating suppliers, Yutong implement
one-vote-down system, so suppliers' products quality become determinate element
for them to survive in Yutong. Yutong also innovatively held the first 'international
suppliers kit meeting', inviting 37 international famous suppliers to visit Yutong
to show their ability and to promote products, which is said speeding up the internationalization
of Yutong bus. In
addition, since the second half of 2006, Yutong has altered the wireless harness
material from common brass wire to XL wire, and all the plug and pin board are
according to international standard, purchasing form famous supplier TYCO company.
In 2006, Yutong
referred to Germany Auto Industry Association VDA Standard, putting forward bus
interior air quality control index, and it already had required all the suppliers
should follow industrial air pollution control standard such as formaldehyde,
toluene and etc. In
May 2007, Yutong improved its bus antisepsis performance, especially for some
high antisepsis demand parts.
