| 25-02-2008 Statistics
from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show China overall auto export
in 2007 continued a rapid growth despite the pressure of currency's appreciation,
of which the export volume exceeded 0.6 millon, attaining 612,700 units, up 78.95
percent year-on-year. According to statistics, in 2007 commercial vehicle export
had also been the mainstream of the whole auto export, and exceeded 0.32 million,
occupying 54.4 percent of the total auto export volume; Saloon car export ranked
second, occupying 30 percent of the he total export volume; but the pessenger
car export had increased swiftly. As
the world's largest commercial vehicle producer, China boasts its scale economy
compared with other countries. Compared with passenger cars, the scale of world's
commercial vehicle market is relatively small, so it is rare to see the rapid
growth of commercial vehicle export. Despite
lower bus export volume compared with trucks, the growth rate of bus export has
far exceeded truck from 13,000 units in 2006 to 42,000 units last year, more than
doubled. 2007
bus market's high growth mainly relied on the rapid growth of 10 to 20 seats gasoline
vehicles, some manufacturers had received big orders from overseas market, and
thus new markets had been explored by them. Take into consideration of world's
relatively small market volume, China bus and coach behaved excellent in tranditional
large bus market in 2007. Some
newly emerged market such as Iran and South Africa has from small market become
main export market. Manufacturers like Soueast and Polarsun Automobile had got
big deals. Light bus export has been the first breakout of overseas exploration.
