Recently the Fortune magazine released the list of the global top 500 of the year 2008. With consolidated sales revenue of USD 22.6 billion for 2007, SAIC has been elected one of the global top 500 for the fourth time, ranking the 373th which is 29 places ahead compared with the previous year.

During the first half of 2008, SAIC adhered to the market-oriented and customer-centered business operation in spite of unfavorable factors on the market, such as the price rise of materials and gasoline, and did a solid job in both sales and services, and took timely and effective measures to open up more market. By the end of June, SAIC had sold more than 990,000 vehicles, which was a new record high, and enabled itself to keep the first place in domestic auto market.
